Feed & Educate in India

March 1st was officially World Book Day, where parents send their children to school dressed as their favourite book character. It’s a way to encourage children to read more books. So this month’s Sponsor Sunday is focusing on our Feed and Educate programme in India.

There are children in the slums of India who are desperate to learn and would love the opportunity to read and browse at a book. We can take for granted that books are commonly available for children in the UK and schools are just a stone’s throw away. Our Feed and Educate programme provides food, clothing and education for each child that attends.

For only £6 it would allow us to feed and educate a rescued slum child for a whole month in Southern India. That is the same price as a brand new children’s book in our local bookstore.

How can you support?

We would love you to sponsor a child in our Feed and Education programme. Here are the options for March’s Sponsor Sunday!

Option 1 – Donate £6 in the month of March to enable us to feed and educate one child for a whole month.

Option 2 – Commit to support one child for 6 months for a one off donation of £36.

Option 3 – Sponsor a child for a whole year for £72. This will provide them with guaranteed food, clothing and education until March 2019.

Option 4 – Support a class of 30 children for a whole month for £180. This will change the lives of 30 slum children.

Option 5 – Become a regular supporter of our Feed and Educate programme by setting up a regular donation of £6 a month to support a child for 3, 6, 9, 12 months or as long as you feel you can commit.

Remember: every penny given goes towards our Feed and Educate programme in India, with nothing taken out.
