A landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by two rivers. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Moldova saw a decrease in industrial and agricultural output. Moldova has the poorest economy in Europe, 34 percent of the population live under the poverty rate and survive on less than 1.70 Euro a day.
We are able to provide practical aid to support the ministry of a number of churches in desperately poor villages led by Pastor Victor. Many people in this region are living in very poor housing and often struggling to afford the basics of life, there are a lot of problems caused by alcohol addiction. The ministry includes support for elderly people and disadvantaged families, also providing regular meals and recreation for children and young people. We have sent clothing, bedding, medical supplies, toys, games equipment and shoebox gifts.
